Cesar shaved was born march 31, 1927, in a small town near yum, arizona. The main reason students do not know very much about cesar chavez is because he does not have a national day of recognition such as washington, lincoln, and mlk. The first obstacle cesar had to overcome was when his family lost their farm and store during the depression.

The chavez family owned a small store along with their house, both of which were foreclosed during the depression when chavez was 10. What challenges did cesar chavez face? The second obstacle was that he had to overcome the obstacle of being a under paid and a horribly condition farm worker. His family was into the ranch business and they also owned a grocery store, however, all their businesses were lost during the great depression.
